Charlotte Sant Portanier is the Chief Executive Officer for Malta Healthcare Caterers Ltd, Healthmark and Kore Group: a market leader in Healthcare, Social Care and Contract Catering services, and employing more than 3,800 staff.
Broadly, Charlotte is a strong believer in training, empowering and motivating skilled staff members at all levels. Healthcare students and managers she has mentored over the years bear direct witness to this trait. Her leadership style is transformational, with the ultimate goal of nurturing and challenging the team to deliver exceptional care, dynamism and an expanding range of services to cater and care for as many clients as possible.
Over almost two decades, she worked in eight hospitals in Australia and Malta, gaining extensive experience, leadership and organisational skills in hospital pharmacy, hospital leadership and administration. She occupied a range of managerial posts in quality use of medicines, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacy administration. For over four years she served as the Chief Operations Officer of a private hospital group. Charlotte has also been directly involved in a number of acquisitions and transfer of businesses within the healthcare industry.
Today, as Chief Executive Officer, Charlotte has realised the centralisation of the core services of the group, expansion and development of the senior management team, continuous growth of the company and strategic international growth.
Charlotte holds an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy (University of Malta), a post graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen) and a Master of Business Administration (Henley Business School). She has also served as an examiner with the ex Pharmacy Council of Western Australia and the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
